Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms holds its 52nd meeting

At the 52nd meeting of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Parliament of Montenegro, that was held today, the following was considered:

- 2014 Annual Report of the National Mechanism for Prevention of Torture;

- Report "Police Treatment of Children";

- Information of the Police Administration with regard to attacks on members and activists of LGBT community and undertaking of measures aimed at protecting their safety;

- Information of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights on measures and actions aimed at raising public awareness regarding the prohibition of discrimination and training the police, prosecutors, and judges and

- 2012-2016 Report on Implementation of the Strategy for Improvement of Position of Roma and Egyptians in Montenegro in 2014, with the Action Plan for 2015.

Due to lack of quorum required for voting, after the discussion on all the items has been called for, expressing of position with regard to the second, third and fourth item on the agenda was postponed for the next meeting of the Committee.
