Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr Halil Duković today met with Ms Judith Heumann, Special Advisor for International Disability Rights at the State Department, upon the initiative by the US Embassy to Montenegro.

The interlocutors discussed the position of persons with disabilities in Montenegro and activities of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms in this field.

It was concluded at the meeting that it was necessary to focus attention on implementation of laws, because that was the way to contribute to exercising of rights and improving of position of persons with disabilities in society, which requires engagement of state institutions, NGOs, and all citizens.
