Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr Halil Duković will take part in the conference “Migration and Refugee Crisis”, organised on the occasion of marking the International Human Rights Day by the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, OSCE Mission to Montenegro and NGO “Civic Alliance”.

The conference will be held in the EU Info Centre, on 10 December 2015, starting at 10.00. 

The following will speak at the conference: Mr Duško Marković, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro, Mr Šućko Baković, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, H.E. Mr Mitja Drobnič, Head of the European Union Delegation to Montenegro, Ms Janina Hrebičkova, Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Mr Mustafa Server Caylan, UNHCR representative to Montenegro, and Ms Ivana Jelić, Professor of International Law at the University of Montenegro and member of the UN Human Rights Committee.

Following the introductory remarks, the agenda envisages a discussion where Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms plans to participate.

Upon the completion of the conference, the agenda plans a visit to the Asylum Centre in Spuž.

In the afternoon hours a football match will be held, where Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr Halil Duković will take part, and the funds gathered during the match will be allocated for children with developmental difficulties for hypo rehabilitation treatment in Equestrian Club “Budućnosti”.

At the end of the program, a donor evening dedicated to women's rights will be held in the EU Info Centre, starting at 20.00. A part of the collected funds will be used for strengthening the capacity of organisations dealing with women's rights.
