At today’s 61st meeting of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, in line with 2015 Activity Plan of the Committee, the Control Hearing of Ms Zorica Kovačević, Minister of Work and Social Welfare and Coordinator of the Coordination Committee for monitoring the implementation of the Strategy for permanently resolving the issue of displaced and internally displaced persons in Montenegro with special regard to the Camp Konik I and II, on the topic: “Implementation of the Strategy for permanently resolving the issue of displaced and internally displaced persons in Montenegro with special regard to the Camp Konik” was held.
They concluded that the issue of permanent resolving of the state of displaced and internally displaced persons in Montenegro was being resolved successfully. The Committee is particularly pleased by the fact that Capm Konik I and II will be closed by the end of the year, to the satisfaction of Montenegro and of all persons who lived there. Having in mind that construction of housing units for refugees and internally displaced persons is underway throughout Montenegro, the Committee expects that these problems will be solved completely in the future.
