The following spoke at the round table: Mr Vladimir Radulović, State Secretary for Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Chairperson of the Working Group; Mr Branko Milić, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Deputy Chairperson of the Working Group; Mr Suljo Mustafić, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, member of the Working Group; and Mr Ivan Jovović, acting Assistant Minister for Human and Minority Rights, member of the Working Group. Mr Predrag Mitrović, President of the Diaspora Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, also attended the round table.
Apart from the Vice President of the Parliament and member of the Working Group Mr Suljo Mustafić, the representatives of the service of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants also attended the round table on behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro.
During the first public debate on the Draft Law on Cooperation of Montenegro with Diaspora, the representatives of the following also contributed to the debate: expert and scientific institutions, state authorities, the Capital City, the Old Royal Capital, municipalities, professional associations, political parties, trade unions, religious communities, NGOs, diaspora communities and associations, international organisations, media and other interested parties and individuals.
In an open discussion, the participants of the round table, from the viewpoint of their professional positions, reviewed certain articles of the Draft Law on Cooperation of Montenegro with Diaspora and thus specifically contributed to defining the particulars of the draft itself in order to create an adequate Law on Cooperation of Montenegro with Diaspora, in everyone’s interest.
Apart from today’s public debate which represented the first public debate on of the Draft Law on Cooperation of Montenegro with Diaspora, in the next 40 days two more public debates will be held in Bar and Plav, thus covering the north, continental and southern region of Montenegro.
The representatives of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants will continue to participate in public debates on the Draft Law on Cooperation of Montenegro with Diaspora.
