At its meetings held today, members of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants of the Parliament of Montenegro considered two proposals for appointments of the ambassadors of Montenegro on residential basis to the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey.
During the 25th meeting, the Committee members considered the proposal to appoint Mr Branislav Mićunović to the position of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Serbia on a residential basis, based in Belgrade.
Additionally, at its 26th meeting, the Committee members considered the proposal to appoint Mr Branko Milić to the position of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Turkey on a residential basis, based in Ankara.
The candidates to the positions of ambassadors informed the Committee members on the significance of their future mission, challenges and plans of their actions during their upcoming terms in office.
Following the address and presentation of candidates to the positions of ambassadors, the MPs presented their views and opinions with regard to the proposed candidates, presented plans and manners of their implementation or action within purview of their future competencies.
Following the interview with the candidates to the positions of ambassadors, the Committee members supported the proposals for their appointment by a majority of votes and provided a positive opinion, starting from their professional, work and expert skills that recommended them to the position, on which the Committee would inform the President of Montenegro Mr Filip Vujanović as soon as possible.
