As part of continuous cooperation between the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants and Diaspora Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Miodrag Vuković and Mr Mitrović emphasised the importance of good communication aimed at synchronisation of activities in the process of resolving obstacles that emigrants from Montenegro have been facing with.
Chairperson Vuković said that Diaspora Administration had great importance regarding records, connectivity and comprehensive cooperation with emigrants from Montenegro living abroad, and with regard to that he underlined the importance of joint actions of the Committee and Administration, within their competences.
Mr Mitrović informed Mr Vuković on experiences and cooperation that Diaspora Administration achieved with associations of emigrants from abroad, as a part of which the cooperation with the Committee could be intensified and improved. Additionally, Mr Mitrović agreed that it was very important the cooperation with emigrants to be based on harmonised actions, which would gradually encourage and create joint human and intellectual potential of matrix and emigrants from Montenegro, representing a key strength of the progress of mutual cooperation.
Zoran Đukanović, Head of the Diaspora Department for monitoring, research, information and publishing activities, presented a significant project in which specifically designed questionnaires would be used for making a list of organisations founded by immigrants from Montenegro, in order to create an adequate base which would provide a real cross-section of our associations abroad.
They emphasised the importance of maintaining regular contacts between the Committee and the Administration with the aim of improving the joint actions directed towards solving the problems that Montenegrin emigrants have been facing with in the region, Europe and in the world.
