MPs Mr Miodrag Vuković, Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations, and Mr Srđan Milić participated in the Crans Montana Forum, held in the Kingdom of Monaco, Dakhla, in the period 12-14 March. The Crans Montana Forum, organised under the auspices of King Mohamed VI, brought together a great number of heads of states, prime ministers, ministers and MPs from 112 world’s states as well as representatives of numerous organisations and people from business world.
The Forum was marked by dynamic panel discussions on engaging and very important topics, and more than seventy participants attended the debates during the Forum. Particularly constructive topics with noted speakers were the ones that covered issues such as: perspective of cooperation with South countries, gender equality and women as key actors in Africa, as well as the panel on the topic of necessity for improving the dialogue among Africa, Maghreb and Europe.
This year’s Crans Montana Forum also covered numerous economic topics of global importance, particularly in respect of regional countries potentials, including the manners for better management of natural resources, perspectives of digital revolution, development of maritime transport, food industry and fishery. One of the panels was devoted to planetary importance of public health protection, in light of challenges that Africa has been facing with in fight against Ebola and other pandemics.
MPs Mr Miodrag Vuković and Mr Srđan Milić used the participation in the Crans Montana Forum for numerous meetings, sharing on the occasion views on today’s global challenges, cooperation perspectives in the context of current regional and world’s developments, but also the peace as the elemntary precondition for individual and collective prosperity of countries.
At the Forum’s margins, members of the Montenegrin Parliament met the founder and president of the Crans Montana Forum Ambassador Mr Jean-Paul Carteron, former Minister of Finance of Poland Mr Grzegorz Kolodko, Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce of the Saudi Arabia Mr Usama Muhammed Al-Kurdi, founder and president of organisation “Rainbow push coalition” and famous fighter for human rights Ms Jesse Jackson, advisor to the French President Mr Guy Zilbersten as well as numerous other official representatives of Africa, Asia, Europe, America and island countries.
This year’s gathering under the slogan “For Peace and Better World” was closed with optimistic message over the development of African continent and deepening and improving thinking about building genuine international cooperation based on solidarity. High goals which have determined participants towards the unique cooperation vision of the global South countries are achieved primarily by mobilisation of the whole society. With regard to that, the equal possibility of inclusion of all sector of society, at equal basis, is a premise for successful development of the state. Even though it unified topics from different fields, the forum was finalised by the joint message of panellist “When you educate a man you educate an individual; when you educate a woman you educate a whole family”.
