Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, Mr Miodrag Vuković, received today in a meeting H.E. Mr Ferdinand Nagy, the Ambassador of Romania to Montenegro. Chairman Vuković informed the Ambassador Nagy about efforts that Montenegro has been investing efforts with the aim of receiving an invitation to NATO membership, pointing out that a large number of political subjects in Montenegro supported the idea of joining the Alliance.
Ambassador Ferdinand Nagy expressed his belief that the next NATO Defence Ministers meeting in December will come forward with a positive decision on Montenegro's membership in NATO. He added that Montenegro enjoyed full support sent from numerous official political addressed in the international community and Romania, towards achieving its strategic political and national objectives to join the EU and NATO.
During the meeting, the visit of the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies the the Romanian Parliament to Montenegro was agreed. The interlocutors agreed that the intensification of parliamentary cooperation between Montenegro and Romania was the very important process of strengthening democratic and friendly relations.
