Chairperson Vuković informed the guest about the work of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, work of the Parliament and political and economic situation in our country.
Mr Vuković voiced pleasure over the meeting, expressing the interest for introducing bilateral cooperation and intensifying contacts at high level.
Chairperson Maldonado thanked for the warm welcome and in the same time expressed pleasure over the previous cooperation between Montenegro and Argentina, praising a continuous progress of Montenegro on its path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
On the occasion, Mr Maldonado agreed with the proposal of Chairperson Vuković on establishing a friendship group between the two parliaments, stating that intensifying and strengthening of the parliamentary cooperation may contribute to intensifying the current and establishing new relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, they particularly discussed emigrants from Montenegro, the majority of whom live in the Province of Chaco, northern Argentina. The interlocutors stated that emigrants were the best ambassadors of Montenegro and a bridge of cooperation between Montenegro and Argentina.
They jointly assessed that the two countries should continue strengthening their ties, by establishing the cooperation between the parliaments, encouraging cultural ties as well as ties between entrepreneurs and investors, and increase the exchange of goods.
