Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Miodrag Vuković today received Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro H.E. Mitja Močnik.
With expressions of gratitude to Slovenia over the support it has been providing with regard to further development and progress in integration processes, particularly by providing expert help and sharing experiences in numerous fields, Chairperson Vuković stressed that Montenegro highly appreciated previous contributions and performances of Slovenia in these fields.
Ambassador Močnik said that Slovenia was ready for developmental projects, as well as to provide a further support to European and Euro-Atlantic path of Montenegro.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on a number of current issues of regional importance and voiced mutual pleasure regarding a very meaningful bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, a special attention was devoted to parliamentary dimension of cooperation through working bodies, and particularly through the mechanism of existing friendship groups in both parliaments, whose intensifying should follow the quality of overall bilateral relations. They jointly stated that cooperation within friendship groups, as a particular form of bilateral parliamentary cooperation, was an additional incentive and confirmation of good relations among states, and it should be concretised.
