The interlocutors exchanged opinions on a number of current issues of importance for the two countries and voiced mutual pleasure regarding a very meaningful bilateral cooperation.

With expressions of gratitude for continuous help that Hungary was giving to Montenegro in integration processes, especially throughthe role of contact country for cooperation with NATO, Chairperson Vuković pointed out that Montenegro highly valued previous contributions and efforts of Hungary in these fields. 

During the meeting, the Ambassador Pósa pointed out great achievements of Montenegro since its independence, including especially significant recent signing of the Protocol on Montenegro’s Accession to the NATO Alliance, which represented a certain acknowledgement of Montenegro’s progress.

The interlocutors expressed expectations that in the upcoming year, necessary procedures of ratification of the Accession Protocol in the parliaments of NATO member states will be implemented, and that it would represent an additional encouragement towards the already successful path of Montenegro’s membership to the EU.
