In that respect, and following the expressed opinions and suggestions by certain Committee members, the Committee provided a positive opinion, thus enabling the said secondary legislation to proceed with legislative procedure. The following attended the meeting on behalf of the Commission for Prevention of Conflict of Interest: Mr Slobodan Leković, Chairperson of the Commission, Ms Goranka Vučinić, Chairperson of the Working Commission; and Ms Maja Karas Bošković, member of the Working Commission.
Furthermore, at its meeting held today, the Committee also considered the initiative submitted by the NGO Civic Alliance on the occasion of marking 800 years since the adoption of “Magna Charta Libertatum”. On that occasion, the Committee members agreed that Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration will officially submit the initiative to the Collegium of the President of the Parliament, so that the final decision could be adopted.
Today, the Committee also considered the initiatives by the MP Ms Azra Jasavić for holding of two control hearings; hearing of President of the Supreme Court Ms Vesna Medenica and Minister of Justice Mr Duško Marković on the topics of disappearance of the CD containing the statement by the former protected witness Mr Zoran Vlaović, in the case of murder of the inspector Mr Slavoljub Šćekić. The second initiative for holding of the control hearing refers to hearing of members of the Judicial Council elected by the Parliament of Montenegro as well as the President of the Judicial Council, because, according to the statements in the media, the Judicial Council had not allowed the public to be present at the discussion regarding the complaint of the judge of Commercial Court Ms Nataša Bošković to the decision of the Disciplinary Commission. The Committee will state its opinion on the submitted initiatives at one of the following meetings.
