At its 99th meeting held today, the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration implemented the Consultative discussion on Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Proceedings, submitted by the Government of Montenegro, with science and expert consultants, representatives of the state authorities and representatives of the NGO sector.
On behalf of the proposer of the proposal for the law, the meeting was attended by: Mr Zoran Pažin, Minister of Justice, Ms Nataša Radonjić, Chief of Directorate for Organisation of Judiciary at the Ministry of Justice, and Ms Tijana Badnjar, Advisor at the Ministry.
On behalf of the representative of state authorities, the meeting was also attended by Mr Ivan Krkeljić, Secretary General of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms.
Furthermore, the following also participated in the meeting: Mr Dejan Vukšić, representative of the Bar Association of Montenegro, as well as representatives of the NGO sector Mr Predrag Mugoša and Mr Vladimir Čejović, from NGO Auditorium.
Following a constructive discussion, the Committee supported Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Proceedings with a majority of votes. Proposal for the Arbitration Law, submitted by the Government of Montenegro, was also supported with a majority of votes of the Committee.
