The Committee ended its 123rd meeting today, during which it considered and by a majority of votes supported the following: Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Travel Documents; Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Personal Name; Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Registries; Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Administration and Proposal for the Law on Public Assembly and Public Events, submitted by the Government of Montenegro.
The Committee decided to submit amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Travel Documents, Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Personal Name and Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Civil Registries, and those have become an integral part of the proposals for the laws.
After the completion of the 123rd meeting, the Committee held 124th meeting, whereat it unanimously reached a decision on holding a consultative hearing on the topic: “Voter register of Montenegro, accuracy and well-foundedness of carrying out changes, and informing citizens about them”.
Furthermore, the Committee unanimously reached a decision on holding a control hearing on the topic: “State of affairs in local self-governments in Montenegro - the implementation of conclusions from the joint meeting of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration and Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, held on 11 November 2013 on the topic: “Analysis of local self-governments functioning” in the context of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments of the Law on Local Self-Governments”, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro for adoption. “
