The meeting was chaired by Chairperson Ms Nada Drobnjak.

The meeting unanimously adopted the proposal to request from the public broadcasters the Rules on reporting on the content of the pre-election campaign for parliamentary elections scheduled for 16 October 2016.

Adoption of the Rules is a legal obligation of broadcasters.

In the continuation of the meeting, the Committee discussed the need for holding the meeting of the Committee members and editors-in-chief of both public and private media during the pre-election campaign.

The Committee is responsible for monitoring the application of the Law on Election of Councillors and MPs relating to obligations of the media in pre-election campaign.

The meeting was attended by the Committee members: Mr Danko Šarančić, Ms Žana Filipović, Mr Goran Tuponja, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, Mr Slaven Radunović, Mr Koča Pavlović, Mr Vladislav Bojović and Ms Danijela Danka Marković.
