With regard to the consumer units from the field of culture, the Committee concluded that there were no significant deviations in relation to 2013. For the consumer unit Ministry of Culture, the Proposal for the 2014 Budget allocates 5.86 million euro, which is an increase in relation to the previous year for a bit more than 360,000 euro. Additionally, for the consumer unit State Archive, 183,660 euro more than in 2013 is planned. For remaining consumer units in this field, the planned budget is approximately the same as the budget for the previous year. Within the consumer unit Ministry of Culture, a new Programme is introduced – Development of Culture in Nikšić, for which 180,500 euro is planned.
The Committee deemed commendable and positive a significant increase for the consumer unit Ministry of Science, for which the funds for 2014 are increased for 1.17 million euro in relation to the previous year. The budget increase for this consumer unit is related to the Programme Science, for which 2.56 million euro is allocated. The Proposal for the Capital Budget in 2014 plans the beginning of work on reconstruction of the existing building “Dom vojske” in Nikšić, for the needs of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre “Tehnopolis”.
The Committee supported by a majority of votes the Proposal for the 2014 Budget Law of Montenegro, in part relating to science and culture.
