Adult Education Strategy in Montenegro prescribes creation of environment for citizen involvement in the process of lifelong learning in order to develop a competitive market economy, reduce unemployment and social exclusion, so that through the focus on lifelong learning, conditions for the mobility and competitiveness in the European integration process could be created. With the adoption of the Adult Education Strategy, the state encourages the development of a culture of learning in order to improve and increase the human capital that would strongly contribute to the development of the economy, reducing the unemployment, development of civil society and improvement of the individual livingquality of its citizens. The Strategy will provide guidance that Montenegro would follow in the next decade in order to achieve quality education for adults.
Members of the Committee, through constructive discussions and suggestions, gave contribution to analysis of the current situation in this field, but also a support that this segment of education could receive adequate commitment from the relevant institutions.
Recognizing the importance of adult education, the Committee for Education, Science, Culture and Sports recommends that in future more attention should be paid to adult education and more resources allocated to this segment of education.
