Upon the initiative of the Women’s Football Club “Breznica” from Pljevlja, a meeting was held between the Chairperson and members of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports and representatives of the Club.
The initiative for holding of this meeting has arisen from the need to request advice and support from the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports in order to resolve the existing problems in funding of the club, which threaten to extinguish great enthusiasm of the leadership and of members upon which this sports organisation is based on.
Mr Željko Krgović, president of the WFC „Breznica“, informed the Committee members on activities and results of the Club. The Club’s representatives point out that their goal is primarily care for the young, building and forming of personality of young people, and after that winning trophies.
The Committee members extended their congratulations to representatives of the club and referred them to cooperation with relevant entities that could provide them with the necessary support. That includes primarily the Administration for Youth and Sports, Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Football Association of Montenegro, as well as the Ministry of Finance, via the tender for funds allocation to the NGOs. The Committee members also pointed out that the local self-government and commercial entities, from the aspect of socially responsible business operations in which the companies harmonise their relations with the most divergent social actors of general significance, should provide their contribution to strengthening of such a club. Among other things, they pointed out the support of the Embassy of the United States of America, which could be greatly significant with regard to international projects.
