Representatives of the Gender Equality Committee held a meeting with representatives from the Swedish Institute and the Project SEVEN

Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Nada Drobnjak and Goran Tuponja, with members of the Committee Branka Tanasijević and Branka Bošnjak Doc PhD, held a meeting today with Ida Granqvist, representative of the Swedish Institute and Leader of the Project SEVEN, who is dealing with the issue of violence against women worldwide and Tihana Ćulafić, actress and Leader of the project in Montenegro.

It was talked about the Project SEVEN and gender equality in Montenegro. Swedish Institute plans to implement this project in 2015 in six states around the world, including Montenegro, and during the talk, full support was given to implementation to this project.

SEVEN is a documentary play based on interviews with seven women's rights activists from all over the world. The play is written based on the stories by the seven awarded authors. Regarding the directing of the play, it is designed in a way that the leading roles are taken by celebrities from the state in which it is performed so that every reading is taken by a unique ensemble. The play has been performed so far in more than 20 countries, and it was attended by over 500 public figures. The project, in addition to stage reading, includes supporting educational activities which are focused on combating violence against women and the fight for the promotion and protection of women's rights.
