The meeting was focused on the economic empowerment of women, as one of the important issues. The interlocutors discussed the access to funds for women entrepreneurs, positive practices, recommendations and initiatives that should be undertaken for development of women entrepreneurship. The created mechanisms and strategic documents adopted in line with the EU principles represent a support to economic empowerment of women and women’s entrepreneurship. It was concluded, at the meeting, that by further cooperation of the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Work, Social Issues and Health Committee of the Albanian Parliament the possibilities for increasing the number of women in business would be reviewed.   

The significant contribution to the discussion was given by participants of the meeting: Ms Albana Vokshi, Chairperson of the the Work, Social Issues and Health Committee of the Albanian Parliament, Ms Lia Magnaguagno, Head of the Democratization Programme in the OSCE Mission to Montenegro and Ms Alenka Verbole, Senior Advisor on Civil Society and Gender Equality of the OSCE Mission to Albania.
