Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak took part in the TAIEX workshop, held in Podgorica today. TAIEX workshop on the topic: “Gender Equality in the Media” was organised by the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights in cooperation with TAIEX Programme of the European Commission.
The aim of the workshop is to acquaint the representatives of the media on gender equality policy, thus implementing obligations stemming from Action Plan for Achieving Gender Equality in Montenegro 2013-2017 and Action Plan for Chapter 23 Judiciary and Fundamental Rights.

Discussion took part within panels: Gender and the Public Broadcasting Service - best practices and room for improvement; Gender equality in the Swedish media: current state and examples from practice; Sports or women sports - gender equality from gender aspect; Fight against different stereotypes and sexism in the Swedish media: feminism and LGBT - activism during the last decade: Mechanisms of control in the media with the aim of implementing gender sensitive approach in media reporting.
The following took part in the workshop: Expert Ms Charlotte Niklasson from the Nordic Public Service Broadcasters' office in Brussels, Ms Karin Millesfrom the Södertörn Universityin Sweden and Ms Elizabeta Gojan, journalist of HRT.
