At its 60th meeting held today, the Gender Equality Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on Youth, in the part falling within its competencies, and, following the discussion, unanimously decided to support it. Furthermore, the Committee has decided to propose to the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports, as the lead committee, to propose to the Parliament to adopt this Proposal for the Law.

Under the item of the agenda “Current issues”, the Committee was informed on the upcoming activities, as well as on activities carried out between the meetings.

The Committee meeting was attended by: representatives of proposers of the law -   Director General of teh Directorate for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education Ms Mubera Kurpejović,  Head of the Department for Normative and Legal Affairs and Harmonisation of Regulations at the Ministry of Education Mr Mijajlo Đurić, Project Manager at the EU Delegation to Montenegro Ms Mladenka Tešić, and Advisor for Political Affairs at the EU Delegation to Montenegro Ms Aleksandra Perović.
