Deputy Chair of the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning Ms Jelisava Kalezić prof. PhD met today with the Head of the Sector for Democratisation in the OSCE Mission to Montenegro Ms Lia Magnaguagno.

Future joint activities of the Committee and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro in the field of environmentwere discussed at the meeting.

Deputy Chair of the Committee Jelisava Kalezić prof. PhD informed the interlocutor with the implemented and planned activities of the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Environment and Spatial Planning.   

Ms Magnaguagno presented activities of support, the OSCE Mission provided in this field. She emphasized the importance of the role of the OSCE Mission in monitoring the implementation of the Law on Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment as a link mechanism between the environment and spatial planning.   

It was pointed out to the importance of citizen participation in the decision-making process and implementation, where the Arhus centres and schools of environmental activism playthe important role. On this occasion, it was agreed that future co-operation should be based on the support in organizing the thematic meetings and implementation of conclusions of the aforementioned meetings, visits to municipalities and analysis of individual cases that have or may have an impact on the environment and therefore the life and health of citizens.
