At their fifteenth meeting held today, the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro considered three items of the agenda: Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by MPs Mr Neven Gošović, Ms Snežana Jonica, and Mr Aleksandar Damjanović; Proposal for the Law on Providing Blood; and Initiative for Holding of a Control Hearing on Public Procurement in the Health Sector, submitted by MPs Mr Janko Vučinić; Dr Novica Stanić; Dr Radovan Asanović; Mr Neven Gošović; Mr Goran Tuponja; and Mr Andrija Popović.
The Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance. The Committee supported the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, and proposed it to the Parliament of Montenegro for adoption. Mr Janko Vučinić, a Committee member, was selected as the rapporteur of the Committee.
At the meeting held today, the Committee also considered the Proposal for the Law on Providing Blood and unanimously supported this Proposal, thus proposing its adoption to the Parliament of Montenegro. Primarius Dr Izet Bralić, an MP and a Committee member, was selected as the rapporteur of the Committee.
Members of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare unanimously supported the Initiative for Holding of a Control Hearing on Public Procurement in the Health Sector. MPs and Committee members proposed the hearing of the following: Dr Miodrag Radunović, Minister of Health; Mr Kenan Hrapović, director of the Health Fund, Dr Milan Mijović, director of Clinical Hospital Centre (KBC) of Montenegro; as well as Dr Budimir Stanišić, director of Montefarm. Upon proposal of the Chairperson of the Committee Mr Zoran Jelić, the control hearing would also include the director of Public Procurement Administration Dr Mersad Mujević. The hearing would be held in late September or early October 2013.
The minutes from the fourteenth meeting were approved unanimously.
