40th meeting of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare

Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare held a consultative hearing on the topic “Frequent Attacks on Health Workers in Montenegro”, upon the initiative of MP Goran Tuponja.

Meeting of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare was attended by the following: Mr Miodrag Radunović, Minister of Heath, Mr Raško Konjević, Minister of Interior, Mr Milan Mijović, Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, Mr Vladimir Pavićević, representative of the USSCG, Ms Ljiljana Krivokapić, representative of the SSCG, Mr Vladimir Dobričanin, Director of the Emergency Department, Mr Saša Stefanović, Director of the Emergency Medical Assistance, Mr Zoran Kostić, Secretary of the Ministry of Heath, Mr Dražen Ljumović, Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Health and Mr Nikola Janjušević and Mr Duško Koprivica, representatives of the Ministry of Interior.

Following the introductory statement of submitter of the initiative for holding a consultative hearing, MP Goran Tuponja, members of the Committee were addresses by: Mr Miodrag Radunović, Minister of Heath and Mr Raško Konjević, Minister of Interior. All invited representatives and members of the Committee were participating in the discussion, giving proposals and suggestions significant for solving problems that health workers in Montenegro have been dealing with.  

All participants of the meeting agreed that there was an attack to profession in the health system of Montenegro, and that it was necessary to undertake measures in order to sanction such behaviour.

On the basis of stated positions and proposals, Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Zoran Jelić proposed conclusions which, following their adoption at the following Committee meeting, would be submitted to bodies competent for the implementation of thereof as well as media.
