Two items of the agenda were considered at today held 50th meeting of the Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare:
1. Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by members Zoran Jelić, Halil Duković, Zorica Kovačević and Marta Šćepanović;
2. Review of the Request of Ilija Čvorović, Chairman of the Disabled Workers Union of Montenegro.
In addition to the members of the Committee, the meeting was attended by Ilija Čvorović, Chairman of the Disabled Workers Union of Montenegro.
After introductory remarks of the representative of the proposer of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law, MP Zoran Jelić and the discussion, Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law obtained support by majority vote of the Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare, so the Committee recommended to the Parliament to adopt it.
Within the second item of the agenda Ilija Čvorović, Chairman of the Disabled Workers Union of Montenegro, informed the members of the Committee with the requests of disabled workers union. Following the detailed discussion on these requirements, the Committee members reached a conclusion that the Disabled Workers Union of Montenegro should submit to the Committee specific proposals to resolve their status. After receiving of proposals, the Committee shall forward it to the competent institutions and take other actions in order to assist disabled workers of Montenegro.
Minutes from 38th and 39th meeting of the Committee were unanimously adopted at the meeting.
Minutes from the first joint meeting of the Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare and the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget of the Parliament of Montenegro were submitted to Committee members, where the control hearing on the topic “Public procurement in the health sector'' was held.
