In addition to members of the Committee, the meeting was attended by: the Head of the Office for Drugs in the Ministry of Health Dr Jasna Sekulić, Adviser in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Irma Kalač, Secretary of the Secretariat for Social Welfare of the Capital City Snežana Mijušković, Adviser in the Secretariat for Social Welfare of the Capital City Marina Vujović, representative of the Office for Substance Abuse Prevention Slavica Raičević, Director of PI for accommodation, rehabilitation and re-socialization of users of psychoactive substances Podgorica Aleksandar Radinović and Dr Ljubinko Kaluđerović.
Director of Public Institution Aleksandar Radinović informed the participants that the Institution is of stationary type, providing psychosocial support to users in order to reduce the psycho-physical consequences as a result of long-term use of psychoactive substances. Since 2008, when it was founded, it received 240 addicts and currently 25 of them is at the treatment. After the completion of the whole, one-year treatment, the Institution does not break the contact with clients, but it remains a safe environment where they can always find understanding and helpful advice for maintaining the quality of abstinence.
After comprehensive discussion, it was stated that the state should be involved in the work of this institution, and not only that it is within the jurisdiction of the Capital City.
Committee members promised to give full support in the future work of this institution and proposed that the management of the professional service of the Committee should send specific proposals in order for the Committee to take actions in accordance with its powers and with the aim of achieving better quality of work of the Institution for accommodation, rehabilitation and re-socialization of users of psychoactive substances Podgorica.
