At today’s 60th meeting, the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare considered the following items of the agenda:
1. Initiative of the NGO ″Euromost″ and representatives of the staff from the north;
2. Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Employment and Exercising Rights with respect to Unemployment Insurance;
3. Amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Employment and Exercising Rights with respect to Unemployment Insurance, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by MPs Zoran Jelić and Zorica Kovačević;
4. Amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted to the Parliament by MP Emilo Labudović;
5. Amendments (three) to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted by MP Andrija Popović;
6. Amendments (12) to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted by MPs Zoran Jelić and Zorica Kovačević; and
7. Initiative by MP Janko Vučinić on scheduling a meeting on problems of workers of “Ribarstvo” JSC Rijeka Crnojevića.
In addition to Committee members, the meeting was attended by Ms Arijana Vučinić-Nikolić, Executive Director of the Directorate for Labour Market and Employment at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ms Ranka Pavićević, advisor in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ms Gorica Savović, Assistant Minister of Health and Mr Almer Mekić, Mr Sadik Klimenta and Mr Svetozar Čabarkapa, submitters of the Initiative NGO “Euromost“.
Together with representatives of companies from the north of Montenegro, NGO “Euromost” submitted the Initiative to the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare, requiring the Pension and Disability Law to be amended. Amendments would allow gaining right to pension to all workers from the north who lost their jobs due to privatisation, and have not less than 30 years of service. The meeting decided to address a letter to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance and Labour Fund in order to obtain data on paying of tax and contributions for these workers and the number of workers who may be eligible to retire. After receiving the information, the Committee will schedule a meeting.
The Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Employment and Exercising Rights with respect to Unemployment Insurance. The Proposal for the Law did not obtain the necessary majority.
Amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Employment and Exercising Rights with respect to Unemployment Insurance, submitted the Parliament of Montenegro toby MPs Zoran Jelić and Zorica Kovačević, was accepted by the representative of the proposer of the Proposal for the Law, and it has become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.
Amendment to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted to the Parliament by MP Emilo Labudović, representative of the proposer of the Proposal for the Law did not accept. The Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare has accepted the amendment by MP Emilo Labudović and proposes to the Parliament to do the same.
Amendments (three) to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted by MP Andrija Popović, representative of the proposer of the Proposal for the Law did not accept. The Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro has not accepted amendments (three) by MP Andrija Popović and proposes to the Parliament to reject those.
Amendments (12) to the Proposal for the Law on Health Protection, submitted by MPs Zoran Jelić and Zorica Kovačević, have been accepted by the representative of the proposer of the Proposal for the Law, and those have become an integral part of the Proposal for the Law.
Members of the Committee supported the Initiative by MP Janko Vučinić on scheduling a meeting on problems of workers of “Ribarstvo” JSC Rijeka Crnojevića.
