Today's 90th meeting of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare was held at the Center for Children and Youth ″Ljubović″, Podgorica. Member of the Parliament, Mr Srđan Perić, member of the Committee, sent a request to the Committee asking for the meeting to be held at the premises of the Center for Children and Youth ″Ljubović″, Podgorica, so the rest of the members of the Committee would become familiar with the situation at the Centre.
During constructive discussion, a special attention was paid to material conditions, the relation of residents with parents and methodological training.
Director of the Center for Children and Youth ″Ljubović″, Ms Mirjana Đurić, stressed that children reside at the Center until the age of 21, after which they return to municipalities they came from, though they often offer resistance to returning. Members of the Committee agreed that the very problem was this limited stay of residents at the Centre, and that action was needed in this direction and find opportunity to control them after they left the Center.
After completing the meeting, members of the Committee visited the premises where residents live and on this occasion they made sure that living conditions were adequate.
