Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare holds its 126th meeting

The Committee considered three items of the agenda

At its 126th meeting held today, the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare considered amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Supplements to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law:

- an amendment submitted by MPs Mr Neven Gošović, Mr Velizar Kaluđerović, and Mr Mladen Bojanić;

- an amendment submitted by MPs Mr Neven Gošović and Mr Dritan Abazović;

- two amendments submitted by MPs Mr Zoran Jelić and Ms Marta Šćepanović, and

- two amendments submitted by MPs Ms Jelisava Kalezić and Mr Aleksandar Damjanović.

In addition to Committee members, the meeting was also attended by:  Mr Boris Marić, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Jovo Pajović, Director General of Directorate for Pension and Disability Insurance and Veteran and Disability Protection at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Sergej Sekulović, Advisor to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, as well as representatives of submitters of amendments, MPs Ms Jelisava Kalezić and Mr Neven Gošović.

The representative of proposer of the law accepted two amendments submitted by MPs Mr Zoran Jelić and Ms Marta Šćepanović, thus making them an integral part of the law, in accordance with Article 150 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The representative of proposer of the law did not accept the remaining amendments, and they also did not obtain the necessary majority of members of the Committee.

Furthermore, the Committee adopted the conclusion, proposed by MP Mr Zoran Jelić, regarding implementation of the Law on settling obligations towards the workers of Aluminium Plant who retired early due to bankruptcy of the company, which will be forwarded to the state body responsible for its implementation.

Within “Current issues”, the Committee determined the composition of delegations for the approved study visits to the Republic of Croatia and Sweden.
