Plenary meeting of the LIII COSAC ended

Parliamentarians discussed various mechanisms for enhancing the role of parliaments in decision-making within the EU

At the meeting of the Commission for conducting elections of members of the Council of Anti-corruption Agency held on 1 June 2015, in accordance with Article 86 paragraph 1 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, a decision was adopted – a list was determined consisting of 8 candidates who meet the requirements from Articles 83 and 84 of this Law . 

Control hearing on the topic of “Implementation of policy, or law in the field of concessions, with reference to implementation of conclusions of the Parliament of Montenegro adopted regarding consideration of 2013 Performance Report of the Commission for Concessions”

The parliamentarians discussed the key priorities within the Latvian presidency, the EU energy policy, and the future of trade policy and transatlantic relations 

At its 122nd meeting held today, the Legislative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro additionally considered the Proposal for the Decision on launching the parliamentary inquiry and forming the Inquiry Committee for collecting information and facts on the events relating to the actions of competent state authorities in the protection of state property and public interest during the sale of assets of the JSC Tobacco Plant Podgorica in bankruptcy, submitted by a group of MPs. 

At today’s meeting, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports considered the Proposal for the Law on Supplements to the Law on Primary Education and Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the General Law on Education. The Committee did not consider the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Higher Education, due to absence of the proposers for the law. 

With regard to the information that the premises located in Novaka Miloševa street and used by a part of the Service of the Parliament of Montenegro were contaminated as a result of a fire which occurred in the night between Monday and Tuesday, we are obligated to state the following, in order to provide truthful information:
