Second day of the Conference, 25th March, 2013, commenced with the session “Prevention of disputes – European Union as peacekeeper” during which the participants of the Conference were addressed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Ireland, Mr.. Eamon Gilmore, members of the House of Commons.

At the Seventh Meeting held today, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms introduced with the activities competent state authorities conducted in the aim of fulfilling Recommendations from the Resolution 1890 (2012) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe “Honoring of Obligations and Commitments by Montenegro”, adopted on 27th June, 2012 in PACE.

Chairpersons and members of the following committees: Legislative Committee, Committee on Political System, Legislation and Administration, Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget and Committee on European Integration, as well as representatives of the MP Group of Democratic Party of Socialists and the MP Group of Democratic Front, will meet on 26th and 27th March 2013 with experts of the SIGMA programme, Mr. Klaus Goetz and Mr. Juhan Lepassaar, who are paying a two-day visit to Montenegro with the aim of obtaining information on the work of the Parliament and coordination of the European integration.

At the fourth continuation of the Fifth Meeting, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget did not support the Proposal for the Conclusion on the manner of realisation of Parliament’s conclusions, from 29th February 2012.

Members of the Committee on Political System, Justice and Administration will meet SIGMA program experts Mr.  Klaus Goetz and Mr. Juhan Lepassaar on Wednesday, 27th March, 2013.

Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Parliament of Montenegro held the Second meeting today. Mr. Srđan Perić was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 27th March, 2013 in Red Room at 12.00.

Within the visit, meeting with the members of the Committee on Political System, Justice and Administration is planned.

Topic of the meeting was the Control hearing of the Vice-president of the Government of Montenegro and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Mr. Igor Lukšić, PhD regarding Platform of the Government of Montenegro for the dialog demarcation with the Republic of Croatia in the region of Prevlaka.

The Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro attended the Interparliamentary Conference for Mutual Foreign and Security Policy and Mutual Security and Defense Policy, 24th and 25th March, 2013 in Dublin, Ireland .
