Telegram of Condolences on the occasion of the tragedy in the American town Newtown
The president of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, on the occasion of yesterday’s tragedy in town Newtown, USA extended the following telegram of condolences to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congres, Mr. John Boehner:
President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, participated in the Ordinary Session of the Venice Commission at the invitation of its President Gianni Buquicchio
Venice Commission adopted the Opinion on amendments to the Constitution of Montenegro relating Judiciary.
Regional parliamentary Conference titled “Defense and Security Committees“, where MPs of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr. Vasilije Lalošević participated in, ended in Zagreb
It was concluded that the Conference met its goal and contributed to further development of democratic control of the armed forces.

During the first day of the Conference, the importance of exchanging experiences among regional parliamentary bodies was emphasized, as well as the chance of raising parliamentary control role to higher and better level through this way of cooperation .
President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, pays a visit to Italy
During his visit to Italy the President met with the President of Italian Chamber of Deputy, Mr. Gianfranco Fini, Chief anti-mafia prosecutor in Italy, Mr. Pietro Grasso and Italian Lady Minister of the Interior, Ms. Anna Maria Cancellieri .

Panel discussion was organized on the occasion of celebrating International Day of Human Rights and the Day of adopting Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and representatives of the Government, state institutions, diplomatic society, civil society and academic society also participated.

Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Suljo Mustafić, received today the Director for Montenegro, Croatia, Iceland, Macedonia and Turkey at the European Commission Directorate General for Enlargement, Ms. Alexandra Cas Granje.
