The importance of the inter-parliamentary cooperation and oversight role of parliaments in the negotiation process was pointed out.

Two proposals for the laws considered

In the beginning of the meeting, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak and Honorary Consul General of Montenegro to India Ms Janice Darbari pointed out that it was widely recognised that nowhere in the world women were in the same position as men, and that all the necessary measures needed to be undertaken in order to improve that position. 

At the 20th meeting of the Security and Defence Committee, amendments (5) to the Law on Basic Principles of Intelligence and Security Sector of Montenegro were considered, submitted by the MP Draginja Vuksanović (two amendments) and the MPs Dritan Abazović, Srđan Perić and Darko Pajović (three amendments).

Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare held a consultative hearing on the topic “Frequent Attacks on Health Workers in Montenegro”, upon the initiative of MP Goran Tuponja.

At today’s meeting, the Commission considered the privatisation procedure of the Saltworks "Bajo Sekulić" JSC Ulcinj.
