Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Ms Ljiljana Đurašković will meet with representatives of the American NGO “The Advocates for Human Rights” Ms Rosalyn Park and Ms Amy Bergquist, and executive coordinator of the NGO SOS Hotline for Women and Children Victims of Violence from Nikšić Ms Nataša Međedović, upon their request.

Consideration of the Proposal for the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities continued, submitted by the Government of Montenegro

Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, at the 53^rd meeting in the extended composition that was held today, considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Minority Rights and Freedoms and the Proposal for the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, submitted by the Government of Montenegro

Representatives of the CE were interested in the relationship between the Parliament and local authorities, and whether there were a sufficient number of mechanisms for transferring certain tasks from the central to the regional level

At the 51^st meeting, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, of the extended composition, considered the 2014 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, with the participation of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, representatives of relevant state authorities, the EU Delegation to Montenegro and NGOS dealing with issues of human rights, in the function of the oversight role of the Parliament.
