Anti-corruption Committee holds its 41st meeting

At today’s meeting, the Committee unanimously adopted the 2015 Performance Report of the Anti-corruption Committee and 2016 Work Plan of the Anti-corruption Committee.

Current state of affairs in the negotiation process between Montenegro and the European Union was considered

At today’s joint meeting, the Anti-corruption Committee and Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration adopted the report with conclusions from the second joint meeting, and determined their position on the manner of proposing the introduction of a new criminal offence “illicit enrichment of public officials”  in line with Article 20 of the  United Nations Convention against Corruption.

At its 39th meeting, the Anti-corruption Committee considered the current state in the negotiation process of Montenegro and the European Union in the part of anti-corruption and organised crime, with regard to Chapter 23 - Judiciary and fundamental rights and Chapter 24 - Justice, freedom and security.
