The meeting was held in Ostros, Municipality of Bar, on the topic – The Position of Women in the Country and their Political Empowerment

The Committee elected the Deputy Chairperson 

Exchanged views on improvement of the current legislation regarding quotas for underrepresented sex in the electoral legislation and finding mechanisms to make those more effective

The meeting was focused on the campaign – Every child needs a family

Strategy for keeping and enhancing reproductive and sexual health in Montenegro 2013-2020, with the Proposal for Action Plan 2014-2015 was presented and several conclusions adopted   

At their fourteenth meeting held today, the Committee considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Anti-Discrimination Law, in part of their competence, and following the debate, they unanimously decided to support the Proposal for the Law, and to submit their opinion to the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, as their umbrella committee, for further procedure.

The Chairperson and the members of the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro participated.
