Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, as the umbrella committee, at the 34th meeting held today, considered the following: two amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, submitted by MP Ms Ljerka Dragičević, and four amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Removal and Transplantation of Human Organs for Therapeutic Purposes, submitted by: Mr Radosav Nišavić (one amendment) and Mr Goran Tuponja and Mr Dritan Abazović (three amendments).  

On the 32nd meeting held today, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, in an extended composition, considered the 2013 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, sustained it after hours of discussion and proposed to the Parliament for adoption..

Committee considered several amendments 

The meeting will be held on 16 June, starting at 11:00 a.m.

During today's meeting, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms considered 2013 Report on the state of data protection in Montenegro and 2013 Report on the state in the field of access to information in Montenegro, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information 

Upon the proposal of the NGO “LGBT Forum Progress”, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms has postponed 32nd meeting, scheduled for 3 June 2014. The meeting will be held on 9 June 2014, starting at 10:00 a.m. 

Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr Halil Duković and Deputy Chairperson Ms Ljiljana Đurašković held a meeting today with representatives of NGO Federation of Associations of Parents of Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities "Our Initiative", with the aim of continuing the cooperation at the plan of promotion and protection of children’s rights, with special focus on rights of children with developmental difficulties.

Meeting of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Parliament of Montenegro with the Head of the UNICEF Office to Montenegro, scheduled for today, at 11 a.m. in the Red Room of the Parliament of Montenegro, was postponed, due to justified inability of the Head of the UNICEF Office to Montenegro to attend the meeting.
