The Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), and the Institute for Open Society from Budapest held a public debate today on the topic “IPA 2014 – 2020 Roma and Egyptian inclusion in Montenegro”. 

Within cooperation of the Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the UNICEF Office in Montenegro, as a contribution to the Council of Europe Campaign to Stop Sexual Violence against Children “One in Five”, which was joined by Montenegro, a Research “Violence against Children in Montenegro – Research on Knowledge, Views and Conduct, 2013” had been implemented.

Topic: Research on the knowledge, views and conduct regarding violence against children – as a contribution to the Council of Europe Campaign to Stop Sexual Violence against Children 

At the sixteenth meeting, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms considered several items of the Agenda, realising thus eighteenth, nineteenth and twelfth activity, established by the Activity Plan of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms for 2013.

At its fifteenth meeting, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms held a control hearing of the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, and the Coordinator of the Coordination Committee for Monitoring of Implementation of Strategy for Permanently Resolving the Issue of Displaced and Internally Displaced Persons, with special regard to the camps Konik I and II, Mr Predrag Bošković, MA, on the topic: “Implementation of Strategy for Permanently Resolving the Issue of Displaced and Internally Displaced Persons, with special regard to the camps Konik I and II”. 

The Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), and the Institute for Open Society from Budapest will hold a public debate on the topic “IPA 2014 – 2020 Roma and Egyptian inclusion in Montenegro”. The public debate will be held on Friday, 27 September 2013, starting at 12:00, in the Blue Room of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The conference was organised by the Parliament of Montenegro, NGO “Civic Alliance”, and the Institution of Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro.
